Mei Mei is an accomplished vocal coach and artist with over 20 years of experience in popular singing education. She has trained more than 10,000 students, ranging from absolute beginners with no musical knowledge to professional singers, music industry veterans, and vocal instructors. A Grammy member,.

Mei Mei has held eight solo concerts over seven consecutive years, released five studio albums, and performed 178 live-recorded songs. Her expertise and passion for music have established her as a leading figure in the music education and performance industry.

Personal Background
Early Inspiration: At the age of five, Mei Mei was inspired by the iconic Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng and began mimicking her songs. By nine, she started performing on stage and later joined a prestigious children’s choir, undergoing six years of rigorous training. She began her professional singing career at 18, pursuing her dream in Guangzhou.

First Breakthrough: In 1996, Mei Mei released her first single, “Wishing You Health and Happiness”, which was widely broadcast on Guangzhou radio stations. The song was later selected for a charity performance by Guangdong Television.

Rise to Prominence: Between 1997 and 2002, Mei Mei became a prominent performer on Guangdong’s television and radio networks, while also producing karaoke tracks for major record labels like PolyGram. She worked as a music producer for Sing Music in Hong Kong, contributing to high-profile commercial projects.

Hi-Fi Album Success: In 2005, Mei Mei released the Hi-Fi album “Mango Clear”, which became a bestseller across China and Hong Kong. This marked a turning point in her career, solidifying her reputation as a powerful and versatile vocalist.

Global Recognition: Mei Mei expanded her career internationally, releasing original and cover albums in Malaysia and earning accolades such as the “Singer Achievement Award” in 2007. Her tribute concerts to Teresa Teng earned her the nickname “Little Teresa Teng” from Malaysian media.

Career in the United States
New Beginnings: After immigrating to San Francisco in 2011, Mei Mei embraced new musical styles, studying Shanghai old songs under the mentorship of legendary singer Liang Ping. She hosted a music radio show on FM 92.3 and collaborated on a Hip Hop album targeting youth audiences.

Mei Mei Music Studio: In 2012, Mei Mei founded Mei Mei Music Studio, where she has trained students of all levels, including amateur singers, professional recording artists, and vocal coaches. Her annual student showcases have become a celebrated tradition.

Concerts and Performances: Mei Mei has organized numerous sold-out concerts in the San Francisco Bay Area, featuring classic Shanghai old songs and original compositions. Highlights include:

Recent Projects
Original Album – “Shan Shan Lai Chi”: Between 2020 and 2021, Mei Mei worked as a producer, singer, and composer on this retro-inspired album, blending classical, folk, and Shanghai old song styles. The album featured collaborations with Grammy-nominated engineers and renowned musicians from China, the US, France, and Taiwan. It was released on global digital platforms in October 2021.

Singing Training Program: Mei Mei launched “The One Singing Training Camp”, a comprehensive program designed for singers of all levels. The course has received widespread acclaim for its practicality and effectiveness, becoming a must-attend program for aspiring and professional singers alike.
